Unfortunately, this morning was full of surprises, a couple of the smaller ones being: one, that he suddenly found himself falling back on this habit, and two, that in the years since he’d last attempted it, he’d grown too big to pull it off. Now his knees merely bumped painfully against the bottom of his desk, and he had to wriggle his way back upright forcefully enough to come unstuck, but quietly enough not to draw attention from his classmates. It was an ungainly struggle, but he managed.

The bigger surprise was less easily dealt with.

Trying out my watercolors on little sketches! I thought I’d do MAGICAL GIRLS. Again I can’t get the colors to scan for shit, uuuh. Hmm. Anyway I did both of these using the same 4 colors (rhodonite genuine, quinacridone burnt orange, undersea green and carbazole violet, if you’re curious). Oh and sicklerite genuine on Maddy’s pants to see how the texture would turn out (sicklerite is a granulating color and I don’t have many of those).

HEY GUYS!

This is just a quick post to say I have an extremely keen interest in putting together a Sym-Bionic Titan fanbook! Did you love the show? Do you do fanwork (that can be printed)? Hit me up! I’m looking to make a 6”x9” black-and-white printed zine. EDIT: At the suggestion of the ever-clever Dechanique, contributors will get their own PRINT-READY PDF. This is a much more elegant and wonderful solution, thank you Dechanique! So anyone who decides to be part of this can print their copies however they choose! Should be more fun for peeps who want to buy a slice of that action too— the print will vary by who you buy it from. Fun. :D (Well I think it is anyway…)

Right now I’m garnering general interest, and seeing what people would like to do. I personally prioritize comics and illustrations over prose, because I’m That Guy and that’s what I have an interest in. But we’ll see how it goes and take it from there!
